Gosforth Academy Students Spread Christmas Cheer in the Community At Gosforth Academy, we're proud to have brought a little festive cheer to some of our local senior citizens this holiday season. Our Sixth Form students stepped into the role of Santa's helpers, carefully wrapping gifts, while the Food Department prepared delicious Christmas cake to accompany them. To make the deliveries extra special, Santa was joined by members of our school choir and chamber ensemble, who sang carols as the gifts were handed out. It was another heart-warming and successful Christmas delivery from the team - spreading joy and community spirit to those around us. Great Park Academy welcome four-legged friends into school On Friday's assembly, Great Park Academy were thrilled to welcome North East Assistance and Therapy Dogs to school! They brought along some of their amazing dogs and shared how these incredible companions support people with disabilities, providing comfort, independence, and joy. Students loved meeting the dogs and learning about the life-changing work this charity does in our community. Gosforth Academy students Donate Nearly 600kg to Newcastle West End Foodbank! Students have shown their commitment to supporting the local community by donating an impressive 596 kilograms of food, personal hygiene items, and baby products during their annual appeal for Newcastle West End Foodbank. A spokesperson for Newcastle West End Foodbank expressed their gratitude, saying: "We are incredibly grateful for the amazing support you have offered us and would be unable to provide the services we do without donors like yourselves. Your 596kg donation has provided approximately 149 individuals with enough food for at least three days. That is an incredible achievement!" Gosforth Academy Deputy Principal, Mr Snowdon, commented: "We are immensely proud of our students and staff for their compassion and generosity. Their efforts will make a real difference to vulnerable communities at a time when support is needed most."
